How much does it cost to list my home?

The listing fee is only $50 per year if you live beyond 2-miles from the track!!! If you are 2-miles or less, then the rate is $100. This covers both races the March Race and the August Race.

Why should I list my home or rooms with Neartherace.com?

Other race lodging websites charge you up to 30% commission plus a listing fee wich usually runs $30-$60. Why pay a high commission when you can work directly with the race fan and get 100% of what you make.

NearTheRace.com only charges to list your home. We don't require you to pay us any commissions or sign any contracts. If you get repeat guests, we hope you will spread the word about Neartherace.com with others who don't want to pay these high commission fees. Most individuals who rent their homes never experience any problems and get repeat clients. Plus, you have more flexibility by working directly with the race fan.

Another reason is we'll market your rental home on the Internet for FREE through a variety of Nascar website partners and other online technological marketing strategies!

What if I am currently listing with another service? If you are currently renting from another race rental service and decide to set up an account with NearTheRace.com, you can list at a special discounted rate and get an extra season FREE!! Contact us to learn about this special offer.

How far away is too far to try and rent my home?

Race fans travel from hotels as far away as Asheville, Roanoke, and Knoxville, but homes within 30 miles of the track do better than those that are further away.

How much should I charge?

Rooms closer to the track range from $135-$300 per night. Check out some of the listings and examine your home to see if it is similar in location and amenities with others that are listed.

This is your call. Some homeowners use a contract and some don't. It is very easy to find part-time or vacation rental contract examples on the Internet for a small fee or many are free. Over time, many race fans continue to come back to the same home and you will get to know them and may choose not to do a contract.

How do I get payment from the race fan?

Many individuals require 1/2 payment from the race fan and the other 1/2 when they arrive. There are several easy ways to receive payment. One is through Paypal (http://www.paypal.com) which is very easy to set up and an easy way for the race fan to pay via checking account or credit card to you. Only a small transaction fee is required. Check or money orders are other good options.

What if I don't rent my home within the first few weeks of listing? Is there anything that I can do to increase my chances of renting my home?

YES! There are several things that you can do to increase your chances of renting your home such as:

- Rent by the room! I get emails from couples every week looking just for rooms. Consider this, it is one of the best things you can do. This is a wonderful option for you if you are willing to stay at your home and provide a little additional effort for the race fans. - If you are further than 3-5 miles from the track, provide transportation to one of the many shuttle drop off's or in front of the track.

- Airport pick-up/drop-off, providing meals, and RV parking for friends of your guests are addition things that you can provide to increase your chances.

How do I list my home or rooms with Neartherace.com?

It's simple:

1. Email us your information (email address, phone, photos of house/rooms, number of required nights, distance from track, if you will be staying in the home, room/house rates (ex. per room rates or rate for entire house), and other amenities that you would like to list.
